To implement the project innovative solutions such as enrichment of lead ore without cyanide technology will be used. Modern equipment from world manufacturers will be used to achieve best technical and economic indicators. The project aims to increase the lead concentrate exports.
As per the project a certain amount of work has been executed: road length of 22 km has been constructed, technology for the enrichment of ore, which produces 56.8 tons of lead concentrate or 32.5 thousand tons of lead and 12.7 tons of silver, has been chosen. Mine development work is underway, an assessment of reserves under international classification JORC has been conducted; a project for concentration plant and infrastructure has been developed. The construction work has been started.
In addition, U. Shukeyev met with employees of the silicon plant “Tau-Ken Temir” LLP in Karaganda, the restoration of which has been initiated by the Fund’s subsidiary «Tau-Ken Samruk» JSC in 2015. Manufacturing plant complex is represented by two ore-thermal furnaces, as well as the unique equipment of the German manufacturer SMS SIEMAG, one of the leaders in the production of submerged-arc furnaces.
«Thanks to the recovery of the enterprise we have managed to return about 400 employees, Chairman of the Management Board of “Tau-Ken Samruk” JSC Mazhit Turmagambetov said. - Production of the plant is exported to Germany and the United States.»
“Tau-KenTemir” LLP implements the investment program for 2016-2017, which envisages the construction of additional buildings, laboratories, warehouse of charge materials, fleet renewal and the further modernization of technological equipment.
Notes: The implementation of the investment project «Extraction of polymetallic ores at Alaigyr deposit in Karaganda region is carried out by subsidiary of “Tau-Ken Samruk” JSC-JV «Alaigyr” LLP. Alaigyr lead deposits is located in Karaganda region, 130 km to the south-east of Karaganda. Ore reserves amount to 18.5 million tons, the volume of the metal - 1 million tons of lead, the volume of silver -483 tons.
The only shareholder of “Tau-Ken Temir” LLP is a «National Mining Company «Tau-Ken Samruk” JSC. The raw material base of the silicon plant of “Tau-Ken Temir” LLP is quartz deposit Aktas, located in Ulytau district of Karaganda region. Quartz of the deposit is characterized by high purity, which makes it the most attractive raw material for smelting of high grade silicon. The total stock of quartz amounts to more than 4 million tons with an annual production volume of 72 thousand tons of
gangue quartz.
Gas cleaning equipment purifies exhausted gas with the dust collection efficiency of more than 99%. Microsilica precipitated after purification of exhausted gas can be used in creation of concrete with high strength and durability at a fairly low hygroscopicity.
